Glass Bead finish

Blasting a large component

Finishing M.C. Laser Werks offers a wide variety of finishes for your parts. We offer aggregate deburring, TimeSaver drum sanding, stroke sanding, sandblasting and glass beading, in addition to manually ground finishes.

Aggregate Deburring
This process is used on small parts, such as machined or extruded aluminum parts, to remove any flashing or burrs left behind by the manufacturing process. Parts are processed in batches in a mechanical tumbler filled with the appropriate media to ensure the best results.

TimeSaver Drum Sanding
Our time saver is used to achieve a consistent finish on manufactured parts as well as to remove burrs and minor scratches. The result is an even brushed appearance.

Stroke Sanding
Stroke sanding is used to give a very pronounced brushed finish to parts, typically stainless steels.

Sandblasting and Glass Beading
Sandblasting is used primarily to remove corrosion. It is also very useful in preparing parts for powder coating as it yields an ideal surface for the powder coating to bond to. We also offer glass beading which yields a softer, velvety texture and finish to parts that will not be coated.

Manually Ground Finishes
Some jobs call for that little something extra. In these cases, M.C. offers a wide variety of finishes that are created by hand with a standard grinding wheel. Our staff carefully creates swirls, spirals, waves, and evenly spaced or random circles to dazzling effect.
